Desarrollo del Programa de Prevención y Protección contra Caídas de Altura de Personas y Objetos en la Empresa la Tienda Maderable S.A.S

Abstract

In this document I design and begin the development of the Prevention and Protection for falls heights Program for people in the company ‘LA TIENDA MADERABLE S.A.S.’ This program is done to accomplish with the currently Colombian legal law applied to the employee’s health and safety. According to the 1409 resolution of 2012 that says: ‘It is established the security regulations for fall protection height’ This Project starts from a detailed review of all requirements considered necessary by the previously mentioned resolution. I identified the main activities in the company that involve work in more than of 1.5 meters, then I analyzed the main risks in each activity and finally I create the programs, goals, measures, procedures, instructions and formats to prevent falls and control accidents inside the company caused by the risk. I emphasize about the importance of an appropriate training and certification for the employees who are exposed to the height work. The manager of the company should provide financial and human resources, also all the equipment needed like Personal Protection Elements, and make sure that the established procedures are being followed in the correct way, for example work permissions or regular inspection to the machines.
