Revealing Phonological Awareness in a Group of EFL Sixth Graders Through the Use of Technological Tools

Resumen
This paper reports on an action research project developed in a public school. The main objective of this research exercise was to describe how the Phonological Awareness in L2 is revealed when spelling activities are proposed in a webpage. The pedagogical implementation was done with 10 students who belongs to sixth grade and the number or sessions required were ninth. The instruments to collect data during this study were teachers’ journals, the result of the pre and post - test and the artifacts. The results of the study displayed that the implementation of the webpage helps the participants to develop the syllabic and phonemic awareness, as regards the spelling development, the results suggest that the students have been passed from the phonetic stage to the orthographic phase after the implementation.
