Resumen
This research deals with the historical development of Ska and Punk in Bogotá and their relationship with political culture and communication, taking into account expressions that have been consolidated in the last 30 years in the city; starting from various musical groups that have references and meanings that must be collected, disseminated and interpreted through their political and communicative action, as a contribution to the construction of Bogotá's memory and its political culture. These initiatives are linked to a whole cultural process that arises not only from the bands but from different actors and social organizations that have consolidated expression spaces, to get configured generationally being an active part of the life and political culture of the city. In this way, this work identifies and recognizes the different training spaces in political culture and the communicative production of the groups, collectives and manifestations related to Ska and Punk in Bogotá, to generate a memory of the phenomenon through time. By means of a historical-descriptive and ethnographic methodology, an analysis that highlights the relationship between music and resistance is offered, because these are manifestations that emerge in protest frameworks. The results of this research are products of the collection of information from various sources such as: interviews, specialized texts and flyers, along with an analysis of the letters composed by the bands, which are a response to the social and historical complexity of our country. From there comes the contribution of these movements, because their ability to locate and recognize memory, political and communicative action; manages to generate a wide critical and constructive understanding of our culture.
