Resumen
Quoting Reina Reyes, author of the book "What Future Are We Educating For?", also cited by Coriún Aharonian in his 2006 presentation, it is worth highlighting a concern that all institutions in charge of professional artistic training should have: (Reyes) "Today, educating for the present – which is what we are doing – is educating for a past that will never return." Although contemporary academic music (understood as contemporary music) has been and is a privilege of academic knowledge, there are no adequate tools to help the musician in training to approach the new challenges offered by these musical currents more easily. While these currents are closer to recent generations, it is very common to be trained in tonal language and express some discomfort when listening to or approaching this type of repertoire. When re-evaluating the so-called traditional methods of instrumental teaching used in universities, it is possible to find that they are not compatible with the intellectual needs of the contemporary repertoire.
