Resumen
This research focuses on the study of the information gathered from interviews with three trans women belonging to different undergraduate programs at the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, located in Colombia's capital city, Bogotá, in order to identify, from their experiences in higher education, the discourses and practices that condition their stay within the institution.
The research process shows the importance of implementing new forms of pedagogy for the transformation of the hegemonic sex/gender structures that prevail in society and that end up hurting, through exclusion, people who are not part of the heteronormative system; this is highlighted not only in the practices and discourses present in educational institutions, but also in public policies, the lack of information and affirmative actions in relation to the trans community.
