Resumen
The modeling and verification is shown by the representative volumetric elements (RVE) technique of the strain strain diagram of three commercial steels widely used in our Colombian industry, which thermally treated by a cemented and later tempered have mechanical characteristics superior to those achieved with the material in its delivery presentation, which is an advantage that increases the uses and design possibilities for these steels; For this reason, the computerized simulation of the behavior of these treated steels allows future users or researchers of these materials to optimize their products or prototypes without the need for destructive tests with the relevant economic items that this represents. We used the stress, metallography and hardness tests to verify the physical characteristics of the steels treated in such a way that their results allowed us to build representative volumetric elements, using image processing software (ImageJ) that allowed us to obtain the graphic characterization of The distribution of the phases that were modeled in ANSYS, in turn this helped us to virtually recreate the loads and restrictions applied to these elements in the physical characterization phase and graphically obtain the stress and deformation diagrams of these steels in a CAE environment , to compare them with those obtained in the laboratory.
