Resumen
The study carried out from the generation of a cartographic baseline the identification of priority areas of conservation and compensation of biodiversity and its ecosystem services for the jurisdiction of the Autonomous Regional Corporation of Chivor, Corpochivor, located in the southeast of the department of Boyacá -Colombia and of which 25 municipalities are part in an area of approximately 311,700 hectares on a regional scale. Technical guidelines and guidelines are provided so that the Environmental Authority and the users or responsible parties with obligations to compensate for environmental impacts, caused by projects, works or activities subject to environmental licensing, applications for permits or authorizations of unique forest use of natural forest and requests for temporary and definitive removals of forest reserves for land use change, design and implement compensation plans in order to achieve the net loss of biodiversity, in the regulatory and institutional framework established by the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development through Resolution 0256 of 2018, whereby the updating of the Manual of Environmental Compensation of the Biotic Component is adopted, focused on the compensation of the biotic component (fauna, flora, vegetation cover and landscape context) of continental terrestrial natural ecosystems and secondary vegetation. The study is an important technical tool for the application of the competition compensation methodology of the Regional Autonomous Corporations, to define where it is a priority to maintain or where the habitat conditions must be improved when designing and implementing their compensation plans, contributing to the management and conservation of the region's biodiversity.
