Resumen
Road infrastructure plays a fundamental role in the country's development, improving connectivity and fostering economic growth. However, its construction presents significant challenges in terms of the negative environmental impacts it generates. This monograph presents a methodology for implementing the Green Road Infrastructure Guidelines in defining road alternatives during the pre-feasibility phase of a road project, with the goal of avoiding or minimizing potential impacts, primarily on primary roads. The monograph seeks to modify this work order, prioritizing knowledge of the territory and its physical, social, and, above all, environmental variables, in order to more fully design the alternative project layout. Developing this methodology is important because there is currently no clear way to apply these guidelines. Additionally, this methodology will allow for identifying the viability of projects in the early stages of their design, thus reducing resource losses or identifying potential solutions when necessary.
