Resumen
The document presents the development of the proposal that consisted of the implementation of a didactic sequence with the support of a support course in Moodle and hypermedia conceptual maps with eighth grade students of the I.E.D El Volcán de Ubaté Colombia, a rural institution located approximately 6 km of the urban area, in order to recognize the impact of these pedagogical strategies mediated by technology on the understanding of structuring concepts of genetics, specifically that of GEN, we start from the problem of absence of new strategies that incorporate technology in the teaching of genetics, which in turn prevents a significant learning of these concepts, taking this into account, a review is made of the different sources on the studies carried out in the area of teaching genetics, the application of conceptual maps and the use of tools hypermedia as a relevant alternative to facilitate the understanding of genetics concepts.
