The education by cycles in this country, education for young and adult people, has allowed to dignify the lives of many illiterate people and those who need Bachelor's degree to improve their labor conditions. But the academic performances of these students is very low and the schools do not seem to find mechanisms to improve the prospect. In this monograph we analyze two lives stories of students and their education by cycles, with the purpose of finding the negative incidences in the social circumstances of the school process of these students. Concluding in both cases, some of the social circumstances, mainly caused by different types of violence, induced these students to remain in a condition of cultural deprivation that school seems to be ignoring, bringing as a consequence that school processes do not improve. La educación por ciclos en el país, educación para jóvenes y adultos, ha permitido dignificar la vida de muchas personas iletradas o que requieren un título como bachiller para mejorar sus condiciones laborales. Pero el rendimiento educativo de estos estudiantes es muy bajo y la escuela no parece encontrar mecanismos para mejorar el panorama. En la presente monografía, se analizan dos relatos de vida de estudiantes de educación por ciclos, con el fin de encontrar las incidencias negativas que tienen las circunstancias sociales de estos estudiantes, en sus procesos escolares. Concluyendo en ambos casos, que algunas de sus circunstancias sociales, principalmente las promovidas por diferentes tipos de violencia, los han llevado a permanecer en condición de privación cultural; y que la escuela parece estar ignorando tal condición y las circunstancias que la ocasionan, trayendo como consecuencia que los procesos escolares no mejoren.
