This research report shows the progress of the research work being developed in the Master of Education from the University Francisco José de Caldas, intended to recognize the factors that affect the motivation of students in 10th grade, within one day school program implemented in 2015 in the IE Eduardo Santos, and for this purpose, research interest to characterize the educational institution to determine whether it is consistent with the principles of the single day program and characterize the 10th grade students regarding their formation processes, identifying their perceptions and influence policy single day and also compare academic results obtained with the implementation of this conference concerning results achieved with regular work and finally recognize strengths and weaknesses of the program and its impact on the education of students. It is an investigation that has a qualitative approach and is intended to describe the reality of the population of this educational institution, and analyze school situations to interpret the phenomenon of changing school day, based on the meanings that students with respect to their realities.
