Resumen
In the present document, a cobalt-based superalloy was made with the addition of 0.3% nitrogen. Once the alloy was obtained, samples were taken and subjected to heat treatment (MCT), some and others were left without heat treatment (MST). Characterizations such as EDS, SEM, optical and scanning microscopy, hardness and wear were carried out on these alloys. In the alloy without heat treatment (MST), a heterogeneous microstructure was found with inclusions rich in Cr and Mo which contributed to the reinforcement of the structure and increased hardness. The hardness found was 286.06 ± 8.80 Hv. However, this microstructure could be more susceptible to brittleness given its uneven phase distribution. The sample without heat treatment (MST) presented an average roughness of 0.351 µm and a volume of the displaced material of 1.88 mm3 with greater roughness, heterogeneity and accumulated wear compared to the thermally treated sample (MCT) which presented an average roughness of 0.241 µm and a volume of 1.67 mm3.
