Resumen
The present study analyzes the possible relationship between the number of green areas included in public space, and the statistics referring to the locality of residence of the population deprived of liberty in the city of Bogota. Within the sample size, 19 of the 20 localities and 29 neighborhoods chosen randomly and assigned using the weighting formula were taken into account. For the counting of areas photogrammetric techniques were used such as the digitization of cadastral apples by stratum both by locality and by neighborhood, satellite images of each neighborhood were downloaded from the SAS Planet software, and for the localities the orthoimage of Bogota obtained from the GeoPortal of IDECA was taken into account. The results found that the locality of Suba has the largest number of trees and inhabitants, on the other hand the locality of Santa Fe despite the localities with the smallest area, is the one with the largest population deprived of liberty; It was also found that for the urban area of Bogota there is 1 tree for every 5 inhabitants in addition to that 95% the localities comprise a green area between 257.26 Ha and 455.26 Ha. Finally, the ratio of green area to private population was determined by a correlation across the average green area per stratum, thus obtaining a positive relationship with a correlation index of 0.8. It is concluded that the above variable cannot be the only cause of the problems raised in this project and it is evident the clear need to establish patterns of green areas for the good life of citizens, as only some of the neighbourhoods comply with what the WHO has suggested.
