Resumen
This thesis report aims to determine the impact of implementing a didactic strategy that integrates Design Thinking (DT) and STEM to promote collaborative problem solving among seventh- and eighth-grade students at Gimnasio Nueva Escocia Bilingüe in Chía, Cundinamarca. The strategy is designed in accordance with the DT phases proposed by IDEO (2012), which structure the problem-solving process into five stages: discovery, interpretation, ideation, experimentation, and evolution. It also incorporates the principles of the STEAM approach defined by Yakman (2008), providing an interdisciplinary perspective. Finally, the dimensions proposed by Hesse et al. (2015) are integrated with the aim of strengthening collaborative problem solving within the secondary-education context.
