Resumen
The thesis entitled Toward the strengthening of information literacy as part of digital competence: a didactic sequence using ChatGPT for the validation of information sources aimed to determine the impact of a didactic sequence—grounded in active learning, the use of ChatGPT, and criteria for validating information sources—on the development of information literacy in sixth-grade students.
To achieve this purpose, the study began with a diagnostic phase, followed by the design of a didactic sequence based on an active learning approach. Data were then collected from the study population through a pre-test, the didactic sequence was implemented, a post-test was administered, and all the information gathered throughout the process was analyzed. The results obtained were contrasted with the theoretical frameworks of information literacy, active learning, didactic sequence, artificial intelligence, ChatGPT, and criteria for information source validation.
