Abstract

This paper presents the design and structuring of a geographic portal for GEIPER research hotbed. This work will allow students, teachers and other researchers to consult, through the use of geographic web services, spatial elements of great importance such as topographic, cartographic and thematic maps, optical and radar images, mosaics, spectral signatures and other spatial information provided by external parties and information produced within the projects developed in the research hotbed. The aim is to enable the visualization of available information from works and/or workshops carried out in subjects such as cartography, remote sensing, GIS, radar and radar interferometry through any geospatial software that allows the connection of WMS/WMTS services; so that those interested (research communities in the city-region as well as national and international communities) in the subject have an access that meets the international standards dictated by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). In addition to defining the protocols for access to information so that the portal administrator can update and add the information contained in the research hotbed.
