dc.description	El objetivo de este artículo es describir el diseño e implementación de un plugin para la herramienta QGIS, que tiene como propósito realizar la asignación de cupos escolares en las instituciones educativas distritales de la localidad de Barrios Unidos en la ciudad de Bogotá, a partir de la proximidad del colegio al lugar de residencia del estudiante. Para la implementación del plugin se empleó un modelo iterativo de desarrollo de software que comprendió las siguientes fases: análisis, diseño, codificación y pruebas. Teniendo en cuenta el análisis y los requerimientos realizados, se desarrolló el plugin, siendo el producto obtenido un prototipo vertical de baja fidelidad, que propone solucionar el problema de proximidad de los estudiantes a las instituciones educativas oficiales, facilitando la gestión de cupos escolares de los colegios distritales de la ciudad de Bogotá.	spa
dc.description.abstract	The objective of this article is to describe the design and implementation of a plugin for QGIS tool that pretend to make the allocation of school places in the district educational institutions of the locality of Barrios Unidos in Bogota, taking in account the proximity of the school to residence of the student. For the implementation of plugin was used software development model iterative that consist the following stages: Analysis, design, coding and testing. Taking into account the analysis and the requests made, the plugin was developed, being the product that was obtained a vertical low-fidelity prototype, which proposes to solve the problem of proximity of students to the official educational institutions, facilitating the management of school places of district schools in the Bogota city.	spa
