Resumen
This monograph, entitled "Dance as a Contribution to Mental and Physical Health: Adolescents from the Morisot Artistic and Cultural Group," addresses the transformative impact of dance on young people from marginalized contexts from a qualitative and participatory perspective. Based on the researcher's direct experience as the group's leader for over 14 years, this study sheds light on how the art of movement contributes to the emotional well-being, identity strengthening, self-esteem, and physical health of the participating adolescents. Through a dialogue between experience and a theoretical framework, we explore key concepts from Sensitive Pedagogies (Jordi Planella), Beyond the Periphery of the Body (Silvia Federici), and The Plural Body: Integrated Dance in Inclusion (María Luisa Brugarolas Alarcón). These texts allow us to deepen our understanding of the body as a political, affective, and transformative territory, especially relevant in contexts of exclusion or vulnerability.
