Resumen
This monograph is a social, pedagogical, and organizational investigation of microsoccer in the working-class neighborhoods of Bogotá. Using an ethnographic approach, it demonstrates that this sport goes beyond physical activity, functioning as a space for social interaction, identity construction, youth organization, and collective expression. Through direct immersion, it focuses on the Esperanza de Barrio Collective and its pedagogical model, which integrates sport with the social sciences, demonstrating how microsoccer generates forms of youth organization through it.Microsoccer is a microcosm because it highlights broader social issues, such as inequality, corruption, and lack of opportunity. Through participant observation, life stories, and interviews, it analyzes how this sport organizes young people and serves as a tool for informal education. The research concludes that microsoccer is a key vehicle for youth empowerment, collective identity, and political expression in the neighborhoods.
