The present degree work entitled “Guidance guide for the development of capacities to promote social participation in children and adolescents between 6 and 14 years of age with intellectual disabilities through dance”, is a project that was born from experience. as a dancer and the execution of the internship to obtain the title as an occupational therapist, in this work you will be able to find a world that dance offers for children and adolescents with disabilities in order to promote social skills and eliminate social stereotypes against the aforementioned population, allowing dancing to be their main occupation, favoring their human development and emotional processes, as well as promoting their creativity, generating a feeling of satisfaction for the population since the word “disability” does not mean that they cannot carry out social activities. desired, are the various capacities that the population has to execute them and sensitize society to the barriers that occasionally stand in the way of the population being independent and participatory beings in a social group. The guide also provides, through dance, activities that favor the social participation of minors with intellectual disabilities, promoting their human development.
