Resumen
The results of a study conducted at the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca CAR, Regional Soacha, in which it is designed and implemented to officials, the Ecological Footprint as an indicator of sustainability, in order to identify patterns of inadequate consumption, are presented corroborating the correlation between the work they do and their lifestyles and propose alternatives to reduce the environmental impact caused on the planet. The results show that most officials CAR has a greater than biocapacity ecological footprint, which translates into an environmentally unsustainable way of life. The identification of the ecological footprint can generate commitment and change attitudes towards the conservation of environmental goods and services. Likewise, social work done with different communities of the municipalities of Soacha and Sibaté stimulate recognition of the environment and the problems that have been presented, as well as care for the environment, contributing in this way to meeting plans CAR action.
