Resumen
Climate change is currently the greatest issue facing the entire world. The consequences, which scientists began warning about decades ago, are now a reality: droughts, polluted rivers, loss of wildlife and plant species, melting polar ice, depletion of natural resources, among many other things, are what humanity must deal with today. How did we let the problem advance this far? If humanity had been warned for years that continuing on the current path could have severe consequences, and we already knew what could happen, why did we let it occur?
The environment and all of its aspects are quite complex, and a topic that affects absolutely everyone should be taught to the entire population. However, only professionals in related fields and a very small sector of the population who are curious about it have access to this knowledge. This is why the present research project sought a way in which something as important as climate change could be addressed in depth starting in school, so that the way this knowledge is delivered is appropriate for the target audience of the program, i.e., eleventh-grade students at an educational institution in the city of Bogotá.
After conducting the research, the program was developed in such a way that it could be appealing to young students between the ages of 15 and 16. Audiovisual support was also used to make the experience more playful and dynamic, so that learning something as complex as climate change wouldn't be overwhelming.
