Resumen
The present research is a systematization of experiences which shows the pedagogical, political and reflexive process, which occurred in the implementation of the training of citizen competences in political participation, in the José Joaquín Castro Martínez institution, in the sixth grade students. To achieve this training, has taken one of the most controversial series at the end of the twentieth century and the beginning of the 21st century as a didactic learning tool, The Simpsons, family that is hated by one and loved by others. The central elements were the citizen learning, as a political - participative formation and the systematization of experiences, which reflects on the educational experience, lived, in order to enrich the educational practice in multiple aspects.
