Resumen
This research project analyzes the educational relevance for eleventh-grade students in Kennedy district, Bogotá, through the characterization of the territory, academic offerings, educational quality, government policies, and labor market needs. Surveys conducted with students, teachers, and business owners revealed perceptions regarding the quality of education, barriers to accessing higher education, and the alignment between academic training and labor market demands. The findings show a strong interest among students in pursuing professional education, although they face economic, social, and informational obstacles. The current educational offerings do not fully meet the needs of the local productive environment, which increasingly demands technical, technological, and soft skills. The study concludes that it is essential to strengthen collaboration between educational institutions, businesses, and government initiatives, recommending updates to academic programs, improved vocational guidance, expanded financial support, and strategic partnerships that promote both the professional development of young people and the economic growth of the locality.
