Resumen
In the presented research work, a proposal is proposed focused on the study of the notions of chance that are evidenced in the lyrics composed by basic education students. Now, categories of analysis are established that make it possible to identify some notions of chance, through everyday language, in the lyrics composed by basic education students, among these notions are: the non-recognition of chance, randomness-uncertainty, causality, lack of information, magical aspects, and multiple possibilities. Finally, the main deficiencies in the students are: the non-distinction of random and deterministic phenomena, lack of vocabulary related to chance and difficulty in the search for synonyms of expressions related to probability, difficulties in proceeding to assess the probability of various everyday situations with a special confusion between the terms they treat as synonyms.
