Resumen
This research seeks to determine the memory types built by the farmers in charge of the environmental concerns of the Union of Agrarian Workers of Sumapaz (SINTRAPAZ), around the socio-environmental processes in the area of Sumapaz - Bogotá, in the period 2000 - 2017. To achieve this objective, this research was based on the concepts of collective and cultural memory proposed by authors such as Halbwachs, Erll, Jelin and Nora, in addition to the concepts of territory postulated by Escobar, Santos, Raffestin and Harvey. Among the most significant findings, it was found that the Sumapaz farmers have built their territory around their culture, which has the collective and cultural memory as the central axis, taking from this, the learnings are acquire, as well as the projections of their struggles for the defense of the territory. Another significant finding emerges from the cultural, social and environmental impact is generated by the hydroelectric power plant as an economic development project, in addition to the safety and cultural effects caused by the presence of the National Army, to which the farmers identify as an outpost for the energy mining projects proposed for this region.
