Resumen
Narrative competence is a concept closely linked to communicative proficiency, specifically discursive competence. Unfortunately, narrative competence is not a priority within the school curriculum. On the other hand, the permanent use of technological devices shows that youth have the abilities to move through the digital world. Then, the question arises to establish how to understand the manifestation of narrative competence regarding the use of certain transmedia narratives in a group of four students of cycle IV from the city of Bogotá. Thus, the categories are characterized that, through their concepts, expand all the theory that supports this work and that was framed within the hermeneutical paradigm, the qualitative approach and the case study design, of an instrumental and comprehensive type based on experience. The results show the knowledge that young people have about the narrative structure and its use. It also gives an account of the digital skills that allow their movement through the world that technology offers them. Likewise, the need to implement other ways of narrating within the digital world is evident.
