Resumen
I propose a didactic engineering to define a parabola as two locus: the place of all the mirrors that reflect parallel rays on a point instead of all points equidistant from a point and a line. Dynamic Geometry Software CaRMetal was used as model in an experiment with mirrors and laser beams. This work modeling software allows invalidating some of the strategies of students and presents the geometric analysis as a problem solving strategy. I stand on the theory of didactic situations as I believe to clearly identify the role of technological tools in student teaching-learning, describe precisely the role of the teacher and predict the effect that will have activities in learning, and allows to understand the dynamic geometry software as of mathematical construction.
