Resumen
This research is part of the field of cultural and literary studies in the school context. It arises from the reflections proposed in several works by William Ospina, in which he questions the elements of Colombian identity. The objective was to explore this phenomenon through a didactic unit in which the book "Colombia, where green is of all colors" was studied, from the hermeneutical analysis, with the purpose of identifying Colombian identity elements in it. Among his main theoretical references are William Ospina, Anthony Giddens, Paul Ricoeur and Asael Mercado, from whom an approach was made to the concept of identity and properly to the Colombian identity in the analysis of Ospina's work. Subsequently, a hermeneutical analysis of Ospina's book was made, to identify elements of Colombian identity in it, which would allow its understanding. The methodological framework is established from the qualitative approach, conceived from the proposals of Hernández Sampieri and action research in education, from the work of Orlando Falls Borda. In the execution of the fieldwork, the work was read and the protagonists of the investigation reflected on the elements of Colombian identity. It is concluded that identity is a historical phenomenon, which has a close relationship with literature. In addition, the existence of a Colombian identity whose main characteristic is diversity.
