Gestión para la disminución de las devoluciones en meals de Colombia S.A.S.

Abstract

The process of reverse logistics in meals of Colombia presents a significant improvement opportunity with the possibility of decreasing your returns of finished product that are estimated annually in ten billion pesos on average. Meals de Colombia is a company with more than 50 years of tradition in the production, marketing and distribution of ice cream and juices nationwide and with more than 12 years as a member of Grupo Nutresa one of the largest in the country. During this work of internship, this problem is addressed by carrying out a project that seeks through a complete evaluation and understanding of the problem to generate proposals for corrective actions and its implementation plan, which lead to the reduction of returns of finished products at the national level. During the development of this project three major stages were carried out, first evaluation of the current situation of the company, this evaluation was carried out with the objective of determining which were the most relevant problems regarding the process of reverse logistics and of this In order to determine which were the greatest opportunities for improvement for the company, once the priorities of the project were established, a second stage was executed corresponding to a causal analysis process using the methodology "5 Why?" to identify root causes and as a last step, a series of corrective actions and their implementation plans aimed at reducing returns were proposed. In conjunction with this process, two tools were designed to facilitate the control of the returns indicator and reduce the administrative response time, these tools were raised for members of the logistics and sales area that are directly related to the management of this indicator.
