Tres arreglos en géneros de pasillo y bambuco que aportan al desarrollo del violonchelo como instrumento acompañante en la música andina colombiana

Abstract

This project shows the research process for the realization of three arrangements of Colombian Andean music, two in Pasillo rhythm, the first one a slow Pasillo and the second a Pasillo fiestero concluding with a Bambuco where the cello is the chosen accompanying harmonic instrument for excellence for these arrangements. This process consists of a contextual investigation of the cello in history as a melodic bass instrument that supports the harmonic base, followed by a brief account of the work done by other cellist who have explored the harmonic characteristics of their instrument. In a second time, we present the investigation of the behavior of the genres of bambuco and pasillo, especially its rhythmic figuration. In the third part, an explanation about a new system created for this work so we can understand this instrument as harmonic. Finally, we discus difficulties and facilities that existed when making the arrangements and the way in which these difficulties are solved. Whit this work it has been tried to contribute elements of investigation and interpretation to the use of the cello as an accompanying instrument.
