Digitalización, catalogación y transcripción de música del Archivo Sonoro Igor Flórez del Centro Cultural Llanero

Abstract

Technological advances and new media have fostered an interest in documentation centres for digitalizing analogue format files, in favour of preserving the phonographic heritage, and thus arousing and promoting the access to new musical information platforms. The objective of this work is to digitalize, catalogue and transcribe the long-playing discs (LP) that belong to the Igor Flórez phonographic collection from “Centro Cultural Llanero”. In here, the protocols for the cataloguing and digitalisation of sound files are described using the Protools 8 software. Indexing process of 353 phonograms, the registration of 128 LPs photographs, the transcription and the analysis of the El Gabán by Joseíto Romero and Carnaval by Eudes Álvarez musical works are provided to enrich the database from Centro de Documentación de las Artes “Gabriel Esquinas”.
