Abstract

The work shows the updating and adjustments of the documentation for the research management process of the Francisco José de Caldas District University. This update and adjustments were applied to all levels of the documentary pyramid established at the University, which is constituted by procedures, formats, manuals, guides and indicators. The methodology applied to the collection of the base information for updating the documentation it was constituted by a diagnostic phase in which the pertinence and completeness of the existing documentation is evaluated; and a phase of field work in which, with the help of the expertise of the officials in charge of executing the activities of the procedures, efforts were made to ensure that the procedures reflect the everyday nature of the CIDC
