Resumen
This work represents the importance of the word nationalism in Latin American music and how the traditional musical elements are embodied in the work of Heitor Villa-lobos and Gentil Montaña. Through analysis can be understood the use of these elements that are part of the musical tradition itself and the historical context to which each one belongs. The study for guitar number 11 and choro # 1 for guitar by Heitor Villa-lobos, also the bambuco of suite number 2 and that of the Colombian suite 3 for guitar by Gentil Montaña, is where evidence can be found for the use of these elements that are part of traditional music. The above is an important starting point not only in music but also in the historical overview, because they feed on tradition. In This way it seeks to clarify the analysis and the historical context of what the word "nationalism" represents.
