Fomento de valores ambientales desde el enfoque del ecourbanismo como estrategia de educación ambiental del programa de servicio social ambiental del Jardín Botánico de Bogotá José Celestino Mutis

Abstract

This document presents the activities carried out in the internship process carried out with the Garden Bogota botanist, the objective of the process was to promote environmental values ​​through environmental education, focused on Ecourbanism. The activities are divided into processes of environmental education with the Environmental Social Service and mission activities assigned by the Botanical Garden. In the Environmental Social Service, the population participating in the process were students of ninth, tenth and eleventh grade in two private schools and a public school of Bogotá, belonging to the environmental social service in the line of Community Environmental Education of the Botanical Garden of Bogotá. The mission activities assigned during the internship were: training process, Science Club, environmental education in community groups, Exhibition of Bonsai, Exhibition of Orchids and interpretation tours. The methodology implemented in environmental education processes was project-oriented learning, for its implementation organized in three phases: Training phase, Technical assistance phase, and the phase closing. The different processes were developed during five months. The results expected are: promote and guide environmental initiatives focused on Ecourbanism, generate artistic activities around the theme of conservation, develop a video game about formulation of environmental initiatives, and the successful completion of the internship process carried out with the Botanical Garden of Bogotá.
