Resumen
Plastics can be found in diverse applications of everyday life, since they are transformable, easy to manufacture and economical. Its incremental use has caused thousands of its waste to accumulate in streets or landfills, and different ecosystems. A good way to bring them back to the production cycle is through the extrusion process, prior to different phases such as selection, cleaning and crushing. Each organization must have responsibilities for the waste it emits and determine if they are usable; As a university, it is competent to know and apply processes of transformation of this material as common as plastic. That is why this project aims to redesign a plastic extruder machine that comes from an international social cause "Precious Plastic" that is encouraging the world to recycle plastic. The present project was developed within the TESLA research seedbed formed by students of the 2955 agreement, so that it can be implemented in the Technological Faculty which seeks to treat the plastic waste emitted by it; The work therefore consists of theoretical information about the extrusion of plastics and their characteristics, background of the problem and a study of components and operation of an extruder to finally present a redesign of an extruder machine with their respective calculations and technological plans, the list of elements for the construction of the machine and the analysis of costs to project a future manufacture.
