Resumen
The following degree work shows the development of a fault detection system for a thermal plant, for this purpose the Amatrol T5553 test bench was used, located in the electronics laboratories of the Francisco José de Caldas District University. The procedure was carried out with data taken from the three sensors: each located in a specific part of the thermal process, one of them located in the process tank, the second in the cooler and the third in the heat exchanger; these data show the behavior of the machine through a time interval and depending on the flow rate supplied to the process, using a mathematical tool, the behavior graphs of each device are obtained and then its transfer functions are calculated, to generate a simulation that be as faithful to the actual behavior of the machine, for any time and flow. To make the detection of failures a comparison is made between the curve of normal operation of the bank against a series of failures caused in each device which throws a curve of failure behavior, in this way the change in each of the graphs is visualized, with this the type of failure is detected and at what moment it occurs in a fast way, thus contributing to the theoretical-practical knowledge in the control exercise for fault detection, such as the generation of applied and proven knowledge that optimizes performance of machines in the industrial sector, based on a rigorous mathematical analysis of a preventive and predictive
