Resumen
This undergraduate thesis develops a technological tool to support psychotherapeutic intervention based on the EMDR-GTEP protocol, aimed at the academic community of Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, in order to address mental health issues that affect students and represent a risk factor for academic dropout. The methodology was structured in three phases: identification of factors associated with mental health and dropout, design and development of the technological prototype through a database, a web platform, and Power BI dashboards, and validation of the tool through a pilot test applied to 174 students from five faculties. The results show a significant reduction in symptoms of anxiety, depression, dissociation, and post-traumatic stress disorder, confirming the effectiveness of the intervention combined with technology, as well as the optimization of manual processes, data confidentiality, and facilitation of the work of mental health professionals. Despite technical limitations (server dependency, local script execution, and manual dashboard updates) and logistical challenges (connectivity, equipment availability, and student participation), the study demonstrates that the solution is effective and scalable, recommending further development of the platform to ensure sustainability and improve treatment adherence.
