Pasquilla rural school student’s present an inadequated knowledge about concepts like enviroment and solid waste, therefore this work determines the population sample characteristics and their problems in the assimilation of this knowledge. In order to accomplish it, I made a qualiative diagnostic of forty students from seventh, eighth and nineth grad with two questions about enviroment and solid waste. The answers were review with the concepts of autors like Left (in Gamboa, 2015) and Sauve (2003), this analysis show that enviromental notions are not clear for the students, but they get closer to Sauve (2003) categories like “cultural” and “natural”, In addition, it was determined that they do not have a clear concept of solid waste. This research seeks to promote the development of pedagogical strategies to contribute to a greater environmental understanding on the part of the students, which allows them to generate an awareness of their care in the rural school Pasquilla, directing this appropriation of knowledge towards the systemic vision of the environment.
