Resumen
The social imaginary is the foundation of society, where the world and its needs are articulated. It is the set of meanings, which are present in the behaviors of individuals. It is clear that there are no types of imaginaries (Baczko, 2005, Castoriadis, 1975, Durant, 1981) because if so, these correspond to methodological categories as well as Jodelet (1986) points out. What exist are narrations, descriptions, perceptions, referents that approach the field of mentalities in some cases, and in others, the world of representations (Chartier, 1992). As authors like Castoriadis indicate, it is not the types of imaginaries but the way they are presented, that is, either from the instituted discursive construction, or from the instituting perspective, this implies a social historical perspective that advances social practices and allows identify elements present in the temporary social accumulated, to pass to those transitions or changes that allow us to understand the transformations of human groups, that is, what Castoriadis calls the social magma.
