Resumen
The Jaboque wetland is one of the most vulnerable ecosystems in the city of Bogotá due to the diversity of activities that occur around it, such as illegal dumping that significantly affects the quality of the water resource, the poor disposal of solid waste that impacts the species of flora and fauna of the ecosystem, and the growing demand for buildings around the water roundabout that reduces the natural area. (Quiroga, 2017). Such set of activities have generated a progressive extinction of the ecosystem triggering a decrease in the availability of ecosystem services offered to the population and a change in the habitat dynamics of the fauna species that reside there, such is the case of the Tingua Bogotana (Rallus semiplumbeus) that according to the last evaluation made in 2016 by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is classified in a category of endangered species which is mainly due to the destruction of its habitat, Therefore, it is intended to quantify economically through the methodology of "contingent valuation" the ecosystem services provided by the wetland to the species in order to contribute to the protection and preservation of the species by determining the importance of the ecosystem in its livelihood.
