Apoyo en la identificación de la vulnerabilidad socioeconómica y ambiental mediante sistemas de información geográfica y la implementación de medidas de adaptación al cambio climático para fortalecer la resiliencia de las subcuencas priorizadas de la cuenca del Río Alto Suárez

Abstract

The project that was carried out, whose purpose was to strengthen the resilience of the prioritized sub-basins of the Alto Suárez river basin, through the implementation of adaptation measures to climate change, based on the results of vulnerability identification, had as its scope the strengthening through climate, environmental and institutional change adaptation management actions in prioritized communities and ecosystems of the basin. The benefits that it will bring will be to reduce the vulnerability of the community and the ecosystems of the Alto Suárez river basin to changes in hydro-meteorological trends, greater variability and extreme events. This document shows the methodology and results of the implementation of GIS in the vulnerability studies that are being carried out in the climate change group, through the analysis, conversion and layer superposition tools provided by the different software for identify the areas with the greatest risk due to climate change and the location of the different properties to implement the respective adaptation measures. In addition, the creation of web applications that are useful to present the follow-up of the adaptation measures implemented in previous years.
