Resumen
This project analyzes the territorial dynamics and transformation processes in the Güejar-Cafre Peasant Reserve Zone and the Serranía de la Macarena Natural National Park from 2016 to 2024. Using remote sensing tools and multi-temporal analysis of Landsat and Planet satellite images, the study identifies burned areas and patterns of colonization. Results reveal peak burning activity in 2018 and 2019, indicating significant pressure on protected ecosystems. In recent years, there has been a slight reduction in the extent of burned areas, likely due to the implementation of conservation policies. However, the persistence of these practices in critical areas highlights an ongoing conflict between agricultural expansion and environmental protection regulations. The comparison between the burning indices obtained and the SIATAC cartography reinforces the correspondence between the affected areas and the history of burning scars, as opposed to the preservation guidelines. This study highlights the need to strengthen conservation policies and promote greater control over the exploitation of the territory, while providing valuable information for the management and sustainability of the Peasant Reserve Zones in Colombia.
