Resumen
This monograph is formulated on the usage of ‘urban chronicle as a didactic tool for stimulating writing skills among 10th grade students'. Which corresponds to the Basic Education with Emphasis in Humanities and Spanish Language program of the Distrital University Francisco José de Caldas, that is being developed in 2021 and 2022. Oriented towards fostering 2 writing skills among students, through a workshop based on urban chronicle writing aimed at 10th grade youths of the Holaya Herrera school from Bogotá. It is framed under a qualitative approach within an interpretative paradigm, besides a methodological design based on action research. Thus, interviews (4 teachers) and surveys (17 students) were applied. The findings shone light on the conceptions about writing, and the process that every single teacher carries out in order to encourage writing skills within classrooms. For the design and implementation of the workshop proposed, Rodríguez (s.f.) and Serafini (2006) are cited for the writing process, as well as main pioneers for the development thereof, which is framed under a planning, development and assessment route.
