Resumen
This document shows the research results related to the characterization of the external representations that students of the educational model of acceleration of learning of the Volver a la Escuela program, at the Debora Arango Pérez School in the city of Bogotá, build on the idea of thermal sensation (wind chill). The qualitative research methodology allowed to account for the external representations from the linguistic, pictorial, and symbolic analysis categories related to the thermal sensation, which were analyzed, coded, and characterized with the help of the MAXQDA® Software. Finally, some results and conclusions are proposed that highlight the importance of the relationships of the events that students live that allow to build experiences of the world with the school scientific ideas associated with thermal phenomena, finding metaphorical approaches that can be used to question learning and representations of school scientific knowledge.
