Resumen
Land zoning is the basis for proper land use planning. In our times, the sustainable use of resources is a very important issue, since the production of food, wood and other products sometimes affects the availability of natural resources (soil, water and biodiversity) and also negatively affects the availability of other ecosystem services. The key is to make a sustainable use that manages to develop the local population, minimizing the negative impacts on the environment. In this work, an evaluation of the edaphological, geological, climatic, land cover and flooding characteristics of the Yarumal property was carried out. Then an analysis known as a hierarchical analytical process was carried out to determine the most appropriate areas for forestry, agricultural or livestock use. It was determined that 257.2 ha could be used for livestock, 119.8 ha for forestry and 84.9 ha for agriculture; the remaining 88.6 ha were excluded from any management due to their ecosystemic importance.
