Resumen
The Teusacá River is a bed of special importance, because it is a direct tributary of the Bogotá River; said slope flows between the municipalities of La Calera and Sopó in the upper and middle part of their basin. The objective of the topographic adaptation of the riverbed allows the development of the restoration in an integral way of the affluent, implementing optimized geometry in order to regularize the sections of the riverbed, allowing mitigating possible flood problems in the sector. The study section for this project is 3240 meters, where the points where flood phenomena are presented are located and evaluated, with the aim of establishing the development of a proposal for their correction. By means of the technological resource of information of the software ArcGIS and HEC-RAS, a hydraulic simulation procedure is made possible for maximum extreme events, taking as a case of study a section of the basin of the river Teusacá, arranged between K9+000 to K12+240, located on the sidewalks of La Violeta and Mercenario, located in the municipality of Sopó Cundinamarca. With all the aspects required for a hydraulic evaluation and based on a maximum flow rate for the area, through previous studies, and a topographic and bathymetric survey of the basin (Digital Elevation Model; DEM) with its respective analysis, allows for the timely and graphic obtaining of the flood area in the given study area and the graphic visualization of the proposed land adequacy proposal, objectifying its viability.
