Apoyo en la elaboración e implementación de programas de educación ambiental en el Jardín Botánico de Bogotá en la cuenca Salitre-Torca

Abstract

The team of the Salitre-Torca Basin belonging to the educational and cultural subdirection of the José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden, develops processes of environmental education and appropriation of plant cover with populations belonging to the localities of the Salitre-Torca. Basin, such processes, were supported in the course of the internship, through activities such as talks, recreational days, support for plantations and tree maintenance, activities and tours within the space of the Botanical Garden, among others. In turn seeks to promote community participation with emphasis on environmental education for the purpose of appropriation of the territory and citizen identity, achieving a harmonious integration between nature and the urban, through direct work with the communities of the different localities of Suba, Engativá, Usaquén and Chapinero, in the Framework of the Main Ecological Structure.
