Resumen
In an exploratory way, this research addresses the validation of technologies as a tool for the recovery of ancestral technologies that enable solutions to current environmental problems; In this way, the behavior of the water flow in the channels composing the Muiscas elevated field systems was determined from a parametric model, taking as a case study the savanna of Bogotá (Colombia), considering its behavior as the one of An open channel which makes it possible to compare its flow variables. The study was developed in three stages: characterization of the systems based on their current knowledge, parameterization of the system by applying a multivariate analysis based on archaeological information for the reconstruction of the system and modeling the channels through a model Digital terrain elevation. The research contributes in the construction of the knowledge of the extinct technology of elevated field systems since it managed to define the geometry that characterizes it, in addition to proposing and applying the term "Technological Archeology" as a methodology for the recovery of sustainable ancestral technologies.
