Desarrollo de una guía integral de mantenimiento de ascensores implementando mejores prácticas y normativas para la seguridad y eficiencia del servicio

Abstract

The proper maintenance of elevators, whether used for the transport of cargo or people, is a critical aspect in the management of commercial, residential and industrial buildings. However, operational and safety needs require differentiated maintenance approaches that take into account the particularities of each type of elevator. For this reason, the objective of this project is to develop a comprehensive guide to elevator maintenance with the integration of practices and regulations for the safety and efficiency of the service, aimed at both cargo and passenger elevators. This was done under the NTC5926-1 and NTC2769-1 regulations, allowing to obtain the various processes and types of maintenance performed on elevators. The proposed guide had as its main objective to guarantee the safety and proper operation of elevators, highlighting the importance of maintenance in this regard. The objectives were highlighted, among which will be the increase in efficiency in accordance with the standards established by the Colombian technical regulations. The manual included a checklist and a maintenance program that emphasizes the importance of safety during the performance of the procedures. Additional documentation, such as instructions, templates and formats required to carry out maintenance, was also provided, along with a plan to keep the guide updated in accordance with current regulations.
